India is ready to purchase MiG-35 fighters from Russia
Currently, Russia and India are discussing the possibility of starting deliveries. They are negotiating about the supply of MiG-35 fighters. Russian airplanes are interesting to foreign partners due to their maneuverability and ease of maintenance, a Sibnovosti.ru correspondent reports citing the «Russian Newspaper».
In terms of these indicators, the MiG-35 is superior in particular to the French Dassault Rafale aircraft, in the purchase of which the Indian side was also interested. In addition, the cost of French fighters is twice as high as it was originally stated in the supply program.
Ilya Tarasenko, Director General of the MiG Aviation Corporation, said that Russia also intends to provide training for Indian personnel and after-sales service of the aircraft to ensure a 40-year of its useful life.
Note that the MiG-35 is a promising multi-functional light fighter of the «4++» generation. Its characteristics are as close as possible to the machines of the fifth generation.
The MiG-35 is designed to gain air supremacy and use effective strikes with precision weapons on ground and surface targets from outside the enemy's air defense zone.
