North Caucasus will host Chinese tourists at its resorts

Minister Sergei Chebotarev began his report on the North Caucasus with words, as if from the pages of the guidebook: «Clean air, mountains and sunny days. All this is the North Caucasus. He presented several tourist routes to foreign colleagues from 35 countries of the world. The already existing resorts called Arkhyz, Elbrus and Veduchi, as well as planned ones: Armhi, Tsori, Matlas and the Caspian coastal cluster.
The representatives of the diplomatic departments reviewed the natural riches of one of the brightest regions of the country.

«This is a very serious basis for cultural exchange and education, in addition, we are now establishing economic and social contacts with representatives of the region», - said the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt, Ihab Ahmet Talaat Nasr.
While some are just trying to establish relationships, others follow a tidy path. The road to the North Caucasus was built by merchants from the Celestial in the 6th century.
«Derbent is a city, which is an important base of the Great Silk Road, and now we intend to restore the Great Silk Road. One Belt and One Road», - said China's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Lee Hui.


Diplomats plan to take tourist groups from China along historical and industrial routes of the North Caucasus.
Sergey Chebotarev, minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs, gives a list of branches: «This is agriculture, tourism, and industrial development. We know that Chinese cars are assembled on the territory of the North Caucasus, further positive dynamics in this area are also possible».

Foreigners associate the North Caucasus with agriculture. However, in addition to fruits and vegetables, the region «grows» with extractive and processing enterprises, 6 international airports and even a seaport. For many countries of the world, the North Caucasus is a kind of gateway to Russia.
According to Vardan Toganian, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia, the establishment of special logistics centers will help Armenian products in the conditions of communication problems in winter or summer.
The transport corridor from the North Caucasus leads to Armenia, Iran, Azerbaijan and Georgia. However, the government hopes that they will be able to reach Asia, Europe and even Africa. Also, they ambitiously plan to host more than a million tourists a year from around the world by 2025. They say that active leisure and therapeutic mud are fast approaching.
