The Russian-Chinese Bridge across the Amur will be connected in the Jewish Autonomous Region in autumn.

At the end of September, the builders of the cross-border bridge across the Amur in the Jewish Autonomous Region will complete the work on the fourth pillar of the bridge and transfer it to the Chinese side. After that, the installation of the span structure will begin, which will connect the Chinese and Russian sides.
As the press service of the Jewish Autonomous Region government reports, the builders have already poured the ice-cutting part of pillar No. 4, made a reinforcing frame of the pillar body, now they are arranging and unfastening the formwork. Until the end of September, the contractors plan to perform concrete work and transfer the pillar to the Chinese side for the installation of the span structure. On the third pillar, the builders prepare for concreting the ice-cutting part. They are planned to be completed by the end of September. About 230 people are involved in the construction of the transition.
As the Governor of the region, Alexander Levintal, stated, the customer and the contractor were offered to go to China to discuss with the colleagues the working and organizational aspects of the connection of the two pillars. According to the Head of the region, a lot of work has to be done on access roads, the reconstruction of the railway station, the construction of the checkpoint.
