We will see the inscription «Made Online» on goods in 2030

The future of world trade is in small business and e-commerce. Jack Ma, the founder of the Alibaba Group and the largest online trading platform, announced this at the World Trade Organization forum held in Geneva in Switzerland.

Speaking at the section of the «2030 Trade: A Look into the Future» forum as one of the keynote speakers, Jack Ma urged businessmen not to be afraid of technology, but to use them to develop trade and society, the Xinhua news agency reported.

According to the forecast of the founder of Alibaba, 80% of small businesses will benefit from globalization in the next 30 years. In 2030, more than 85% of the business will be presented in the form of e-commerce. 99% of the trade, according to Jack Ma, will exist on the Internet, and less than one percent of the trade will continue to work as before.
- Today we see the label «made in China», «made in the USA», «made in Switzerland» on goods. In 2030, we will see «Made Online», - said Jack Ma, disrupting the applause of the WTO forum participants.

WTO Director-General Roberto Azevedo noted that, with proper synergy, especially with regard to public policy, the technological revolution could contribute to an additional increase in trade by about 30 percentage points by 2030.
