A new satellite was launched from the spaceport on the island of Sriharikota, India
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched the newest EMISATsatellite with a weight of 436 kg. The satellites wasput into orbit by PSLV C-45, the Indian launch vehicle, the correspondent tvbrics.com reports with reference to TASS.
The rocket was launched to space from the spaceport on the island of Sriharikota, off the coast of the southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh, in the space center named after Satish Dhawan.
Launched Indian satellite can determine the location of radar stations. Together with it, according to NDTV, 28 micro - and nanosatellites from other countries, including the United States, Switzerland, Lithuania and Spain, were put into orbit.
It is noteworthy but that launch was the first Indian space launch, which could be observed by the citizens. For this purpose, a special viewing gallery designed for 5 thousand people was opened there.
