Agricultural biotechnology in BRICS: food security and sustainability

Together, the BRICS countries have 42% of the world's population and 27% of the world's cultivated land. Population growth prospects show that the brics population will continue to grow at the level of 7-10% by 2050, world population - up to 9.8 billion, and agricultural land will remain at the same level. In such conditions, it is necessary to look for a joint balanced solution to continue sustainable development and food security without compromising food quality. Biotechnology is one of the ways to solve future challenges.
