Argentina starts the process of joining the BRICS Bank
Argentine President Alberto Fernandez announced that after meeting with the head of the New Development Bank of BRICS (NDB, BRICS Bank), Dilma Rousseff, Argentina has begun the process of joining the financial organisation. Fernandez thanked the NDB president for her willingness to "facilitate the country's accession to this important bloc," as reported by Extra!, a partner of TV BRICS.

The BRICS group includes the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Russian Federation, the Republic of India, the People's Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa.
"The NDB is fundamental to providing financing to developing economies, it is a great opportunity for Argentina's future and another step towards an inclusive global financial architecture with more countries. The agenda of the global South continues to strengthen," said Fernandez.
