Argentine students develop innovative agricultural robots and tractor simulator

Students from Argentina have made significant strides in agricultural innovation by creating robots designed to monitor soil conditions and a tractor driving simulator. This is reported by Ahora San Juan, a partner of TV BRICS.

These projects were part of the Transformar la Secundaria programme, launched by the Ministry of Education. The young innovators combined components from existing and newly provided kits to design their own prototypes.

They adapted various sensors and software, allowing the robots to measure soil temperature and moisture, which are now used in the school’s peach orchards.

The students also developed a tractor driving simulator to aid in training. By integrating a gaming-style steering wheel, gear lever, and pedals, the system replicates agricultural settings, enabling learners to practise as often as needed. The simulator connects to any screen and provides a realistic virtual farming experience.

The project exemplifies the power of education and innovation in shaping the future of agriculture and technology.
