At "Innovations. Infrastructure. Security" forum development strategies in conditions of energy transition will be discussed

 The event will be attended by representatives of relevant agencies from Russia, CIS, ASEAN countries

On the eve of the Energy Worker Day, December 21, the President Hotel Complex will host the XIV International Energy Forum "Innovations. Infrastructure. Security".

The main theme of the forthcoming event is "Strategies for the development of the Russian energy sector in the context of the energy transition and global challenges". It will be attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies and leading energy companies from Russia, the CIS, Turkey, China, India, Iran, UAE and ASEAN countries.

The Forum will open with a plenary session, moderated by Ruslan Sayd-Khusainovich Edelgeriev, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Special Representative of the President on Climate Issues.

The meeting participants will discuss a number of topical issues: the directions and priorities of Russia's energy policy; new benchmarks in the geography of Russian energy supplies, strategies for decarbonising the Russian fuel and energy complex; and the development of industrial energy construction.

Speakers will include Aleksandr Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Pavel Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation; Aleksandr Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; Aleksey Likhachev, Director General of the "Rosatom" State Atomic Energy Corporation and other representatives of relevant agencies and organisations.

The forum will include five strategic sessions: transformation of the oil and gas complex under current conditions; the Russian electricity sector today: new challenges and opportunities; the future of coal generation in Russia: prospects and benchmarks; the role of numbers in achieving technological sovereignty in the electricity and FEC; industrial and environmental safety at energy and FEC facilities.

The forum is organised by the Initiative Centre for Business Support and Development.
