Blocks from two "Proton-M" rocket launchers sent to Baikonur Cosmodrome
Blocks of two "Proton-M" launch vehicles, "Briz-M" and DM booster blocks were sent from M.V. Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center to the Baikonur Cosmodrome. "Roscosmos" State Corporation, which includes the centre, reported this on their website.
It is noted that the launch vehicles are intended for use within the framework of "Roscosmos" State Corporation's target programmes. At the same time, one of them was formed with the foreign customer's interests in mind.
It is reported that all preparations, loading and dispatch of the train to the Baikonur Cosmodrome went well and without delay.
Recall that the "Proton-M" launch vehicle has been used to place payloads into defined orbits and outgoing trajectories under federal and commercial programmes since 2001.
To date there have been 426 completed launches of "Protons" of all modifications and 112 of upgraded rockets.
