Brazil hosted "ExpoZebu" Agricultural Fair
The "ExpoZebu 2022" exhibition has opened in Brazil. The highlight of the event was the Gastronomic Festival. It was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Government of Minas Gerais. Farmers presented their best produce. A special attraction for visitors were the cheeses that had already won awards at international competitions. This is reported by Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação, a partner of the TV BRICS network.
More than 70 private farms took part in the festival. And top chefs from the state of Minas Gerais showcased the diversity of the national cuisine in cooking classes.
"We treat the public to traditional dishes from our region. Our secret is that we only use local spices and products grown in our own gardens. Unfortunately, over time, some recipes are forgotten or changed beyond recognition. That's why we have set up a dedicated support service for our traditional cuisine. We want to motivate people to cook with their own produce," said Mauro, the chef invited to the event.
Trade at the fair was very brisk, with thousands of people attending the festival. The gastronomic festival is a good platform to promote farm products.
