Brazil lifts import tax on 11 products
On Wednesday, 11 May, the Brazilian Ministry of Economy announced a tax cut on the import of 11 products. Rede TV!, a partner of the TV BRICS network, writes about this.
The measure, aimed at curbing inflation, takes effect from this Thursday (12 May) and runs until 31 December this year.
List of goods for which the tax is reduced:
─ Frozen boneless beef: from 10.8% to 0;
─ Chicken: from 9% to 0;
─ Wheat flour: 10.8% to 0;
─ Wheat: from 9% to 0;
─ Corn grain: from 7.2% to 0;
─ Biscuits and crackers: from 16.2% to 0;
─ Bakery products: from 16.2% to 0;
─ Steel products, rebar CA 50: from 10.8% to 4%;
─ Steel products, rebar CA 60: from 10.8% to 4%;
─ Sulphuric acid: 3.6% to 0;
- Technical mancozeb (fungicide): from 12.6% to 4%.
