Russia's unemployment rate remained unchanged in June this year, corresponding to a historic low of 3.9%. These data follow from the report by Rosstat.
As a reminder, the best value in the historical series was recorded in May 2022. The previous minimum was 4%. Experts note an improvement in the socio-economic situation; unemployment has been falling for the past 1.5 years. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
"In June 2022, 3 million people aged 15 and over were classified as unemployed (according to the International Labour Organisation's methodology). The unemployment rate of the population aged 15 and over was 3.9% in June 2022 (excluding seasonal factors)," the Federal State Statistics Service said in its report.
According to the statistics office, the workforce aged 15 and over was 74.9 million in June 2022.
