Chinese companies invested US$5.9 billion in the country last year

Brazil was one of China's main investment destinations in 2021, according to a new study by the Brazil-China Business Council (CEBC), released on 31 August online.

Chinese companies invested US$5.9 billion in the country last year, totalling 28 large projects, the largest in the oil sector, revealed the unpublished study, "Chinese Investments in Brazil: 2021, a year of recovery".

Renewable energy is also in the focus of these Chinese investments in the country, as reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
