Brazilian spending on international travel increases by 80.5% in January
Brazilians' spending abroad came to $1.246 billion in January this year, said the country's central bank (CB).
The result was 80.5 per cent higher than the same period in 2022, when Brazilians spent US$690 million.
Foreigners' income in Brazil in the first month of 2023 stood at US$604 million, up 43.3 per cent from January the previous year.
According to the Central Bank, both Brazilians' spending abroad and foreigners' income in Brazil are on a "trajectory of returning to pre-pandemic levels", as reported by The Rio Times.
