China and UAE celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations with renewed commitment to strategic partnership
President Xi Jinping of China and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) exchanged messages to commemorate the 40th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between the two nations. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
President Xi described China and the UAE as "trusted friends and strategic partners," celebrating four decades of robust and sustainable bilateral relations that have strengthened political trust, development strategies, and cooperation across various sectors.
Reflecting on the progress, President Xi highlighted successful collaboration efforts in various fields, along with deepening cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
China's President also recalled the May state visit of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to China, where both leaders achieved agreements that will chart the course for their strategic partnership in the years ahead.
President Xi noted that China views its ties with the UAE with high regard and, alongside President Sheikh Mohamed, is dedicated to using this milestone anniversary as a foundation to elevate their comprehensive partnership to new heights.
Previously, the Dubai Forum dedicated to 40 years of diplomatic relations between the nations was held under the theme "40 Years Together for New Developments" to explore opportunities for greater cooperation between the two countries.
