China ensures smooth transportation of agricultural supplies
China's Ministry of Transport is ensuring smooth-sailing transportation of agricultural materials and products as the southern region has entered the rice-planting season.
The transportation requirements of agricultural equipment, materials and products have been facilitated with prior coordination between the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs.
Meanwhile, work has been carried out to prioritize the transportation of ships carrying agricultural supplies such as fertilizers.
During the Labor Day holiday from April 30 to May 4, the port in Zhanjiang City of south China's Guangdong Province operated daytime and night shifts. About 70,000 tons of fertilizer were delivered from the port to the farmers within 48 hours to ensure that the planting season proceeds as scheduled.
The local transport authority in Zhenjiang City of east China's Jiangsu Province gave priority to fertilizer ships, from piloting to customs clearance. The unloaded fertilizer was directly transferred to the fertilizer production factory in central China's Hubei Province, which is operating at full capacity, as reported by CCTV+, a partner of TV BRICS.
