China reaffirms government's support for AI development and global co-operation

China is actively working to help other developing countries benefit from AI and ensure the participation of countries in the Global South in global AI governance

The Chinese government continues to provide global public services, including support for artificial intelligence (AI) development and capacity building in developing countries, stated spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning.

Speaker Mao Ning emphasised that the rapid progress and widespread application of AI have become important factors in the new wave of scientific and technological innovation as well as industrial transformation.

China, as a key country in AI, attaches great importance to technology development and deployment, especially in supporting developing countries. This is reported by CGTN, a partner of TV BRICS.

The Asian country is actively working to help other developing countries benefit from AI and ensure the participation of the Global South in global AI governance.

China will continue to support the growth of developing countries and promote the use of AI for the benefit of all mankind.

No country is capable of countering cross-border ICT threats on its own. There is a need to develop common rules of the game applicable to all, which would regulate the actions of states and their companies in the digital sphere.
