The Foreign Minister said this on the sidelines of thesecond session of the 14th National People's Congress
BRICS enlargement will help maintain peace, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a press conference on the sidelines of the 2nd session of the 14th National People's Congress.
"A stronger BRICS means growing force for peace and increasing international support for justice"

He added that in a broader sense, the BRICS expansion is a manifestation of the rise of the global South and the accelerating development of multipolarity in the world, which could fundamentally change the map of the world economy.
Wang Yi said that China and Russia have made a strategic choice to maintain and develop bilateral relations in line with the fundamental interests of their people and the trends of modernity. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
The foreign minister also said that China supports holding the BRICS summit in Russia this year.
