Chinese President meets with South African Vice-President
President Xi Jinping and South African Vice President Paul Mashatile convened in Beijing on 6 November.
In the recent gathering in South Africa in August 2023, President Xi Jinping and Cyril Ramaphosa placed strong emphasis on the importance of their strategic alliance and the critical need for upholding mutual trust. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
The relationship between China and South Africa is described as having entered a "golden era", and both countries are encouraged to capitalize on their partnership by closely collaborating on the BRICS platform.
President Xi Jinping expressed China's commitment to taking bilateral relations to new heights and working with South Africa and other African nations on various initiatives, including supporting industrialization, modernizing agriculture, and developing human resources. China also aims to promote high-quality cooperation through eight major steps and establish stable partnership projects for the benefit of the people.
Vice President Mashatile expressed gratitude for Xi's visit to South Africa. It undoubtedly strengthened cooperation and gave impetus to the future development of partnership between the two countries.
Both sides are committed to advancing global governance systems and strengthening partnerships among developing countries.
