Construction of three city parks begins in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh has announced the start of construction of three city parks with an area of 550,000 square metres. This is reported by Saudi Press Agency.
The plan intends to raise the standard of living, provide areas for locals and guests to unwind, increase the amount of green space per person by 16 times over the current level, and make Riyadh one of the world's greenest cities.
Over 585,000 trees and bushes will be planted as part of the initiative, making up 65 per cent of each park's total area.
The source claims that 22 playgrounds for kids, 8.5 kilometres of bike routes, 8 kilometres of treadmills, and 18 kilometres of walkways will all be installed in the parks with the goal of promoting environmental awareness and offering cutting-edge educational services.
In addition, the parks will feature open areas, green terraces, and theatres for festivals and events. There will also be sporting facilities accessible to different age groups.
