Cuba and Russia sign agreement on judicial cooperation
Cuba and Russia signed an agreement on judicial cooperation as part of the 50th anniversary of the island's judiciary.
At the headquarters of the Supreme People's Court, the President of that body, Ruben Remigio Ferro, and Colonel General Dmitry Aristov, Director General of the Russian Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), described the moment as a great opportunity to further strengthen working ties between the two institutions.
According to Ferro, Cuba was able to appreciate the effectiveness of the Russian bailiff service, whose leaders, led by Aristov, passed on their knowledge to the Caribbean country and expressed their desire to expand areas of cooperation.
As part of the institutional visit, the Russian delegation exchanged experiences with judges and justices of the peace at a training seminar on issues of mutual interest concerning the enforcement of court decisions and the strengthening of other areas of cooperation, as reported by Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.
