Egypt achieves over 57 million visits under women’s health initiative

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population has announced the results of its presidential sustainable initiative for women’s health support, recording a total of 57,780,622 visits. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

According to Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s official spokesperson, the visits included 22.5 million first-time consultations, 22.7 million periodic follow-ups, and 12.4 million occasional check-ups.

The initiative operates through 3,663 health units across all governorates and 102 hospitals, which provide advanced screenings for cases requiring further evaluation. Over 790,475 women have benefitted from these advanced services since the programme’s inception.

Targeting women aged 18 and above, the initiative provides free screenings for non-communicable diseases.

Additionally, the initiative has trained 30,005 medical staff members to deliver high-quality healthcare services and has established a dedicated hotline at 15335, which has received 27,731 inquiries to date.
