Egypt invests in artificial intelligence development

The state aims to move the higher education system onto a digital platform

The Ministry of Higher Education has allocated US$207,5 million for a project to bring AI to universities, which is in line with the national education development strategy. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

The project includes creating smart campuses, moving exams to an online format, developing e-platforms and infrastructure, and improving the learning process.

At the same time, there has been a rapid growth in the popularity of specialties related to computer science, information technology, and artificial intelligence. The number of students enrolled in these specialisations has already exceeded 104,000.

This proves that Egypt is betting on the development of future technologies to ensure the country's competitiveness and train a new generation of AI professionals.
