Egypt's Prime Minister supports pharmaceutical regulator's bid to gain WHO accreditation

Egyptian Medicines Authority's new status will open access to advanced technologies

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Head of the Egyptian Drug Authority to discuss the agency's activities. The pharmaceutical regulator is seeking WHO accreditation. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

Madbouly noted the government's support for initiatives aimed at optimising the EDA's methodology. For his part, the head of the regulator outlined the steps taken. He detailed the potential benefits of cooperation with the international organisation, including strengthening Egypt's position on the African continent.

The EDA head highlighted another benefit of receiving accreditation is the accelerated registration of products in export markets, which will contribute to the expansion of Egyptian pharmaceutical exports.
