Ethiopia rises 10 places in UN e-Government Survey 2024
The country has made significant progress in the development of its digital government
Ethiopia has made significant progress in the development of its digital government, moving up in the rankings among UN member states, according to the latest edition of the UN E-Government Survey.
The survey, prepared by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), analyses countries' achievements in the digital sector, comparing them among themselves and in terms of their own progress. This is reported by Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC), a partner of TV BRICS.
Ethiopia has moved up 10 places from its previous position in the group of landlocked developing countries (LLDCs).
Overall, the Global e-Government Development Index (EGDI) shows significant improvement in digital government development around the world, with increased investment in infrastructure and technology.
The new edition of the survey also presents a digital government model that serves as a roadmap for effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of e-government initiatives.
