Finalists of the International Short Film Festival to Compete for TV BRICS

The Director General of TV BRICS International Media Network Ilya Bachurin will be a special juror of the II PlayButton International Short Film Festival, which will take place in India in the city of Chennai in March 2020.

This year, TV BRICS will award prizes to two finalist movies of the competitive program of the festival in special nominations: Best Feature Short Film and Best Short Documentary – in the Best International Short Film category. The winners will be awarded with unique statuettes and the right of free screening of their movie within the TV BRICS platform. The jury will start assessing the entries at the beginning of February. Contestants can submit the application for the PlayButton International Short Film Festival till January 30 by filling up a form online on the website or on the FilmFreeway platform. This year, in addition to jury, the audience will vote for the competitive works online on the official website of the festival or via the PlayButton Android App.

The best films of the festival will be shown within live screenings which will take place in the Rossotrudnichestvo Russian Center for Science & Culture in Chennai on March 12-13. The documentaries of the BRICS countries will be shown with TV BRICS’s support on the last festival day, before the awards ceremony, on March 13. It is also the time when the results of the competition will be announced.
