First sports competition for rangers to be held in Iran this year
To emphasise the vital role of rangers in protecting the environment and to support their physical strength and preparedness, the first sports competition for rangers will be held this year, Nourollah Moradi from Iran's Department of Environment said.
Moradi explained that rules are being drafted and an organising board is being formed to hold this international event, which will see rangers from different countries competing in six different sports.
The Environment Department organised the first sports competition for domestic rangers in August 2023. The participants competed in triathlon, darts, shooting, futsal and a 20-kilometre race walk. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.
Conducting competitions not only creates a competitive environment for the development of physical abilities, but also motivates and promotes the personal growth of the rangers.
