Foreign Tourists Choose Moscow of All Destinations in Russia

Tourists from other countries at their travel to Russia prefer to visit the capital of the country. Moscow has appeared the favourite Russian city for foreign citizens, reports a tvbrics.com correspondent with the reference to lenta.ru.

Trip data have been analyzed by an online service for travel planning. According to its information, St. Petersburg is second popular among foreign tourists. Though visits to the Northern Capital this year after all declined almost by 5 percent, in comparison with the previous year, number of trips to Moscow grew by more than 2.8 percent.

Novosibirsk is on the third place, Kaliningrad is on the fourth. The list of the Russian cities actively visited by foreigners includes Sochi, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Vladivostok.

However, in summer foreign tourists went with pleasure not only to Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Kaliningrad Region. According to the September 2019 research of the geographical service maps.me, the top ten list of the most visited regions also includes the Irkutsk Region, Buryatia, Krasnodar Krai, Adygea, Tatarstan, Krasnoyarsk Krai, and the Vladimir Region.
