Green tea can prolong life
Chinese scientists have found out that people who regularly drink green tea have less heart diseases in contrast to those who drink it from time to time, the correspondent of tvbrics.com reports with reference to tdnu.ru.
"The beneficial properties of tea are most evident in people who regularly use this drink. Polyphenols are not stored in the body for a long time, so frequent consumption of it is necessary for the occurrence of a cardioprotective effect," explained Dr. Dongfeng Gu, the Research Manager.
The researchers found out that the polyphenol contained in tea reduces blood pressure, the level of lipids and lipoproteins in the blood, which are the main factors in the development of cardiovascular diseases. And a large number of polyphenols, which lose their antioxidant properties in the production of black tea, remain in green tea.
