Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture highlights BRICS as convenient way for Brazil and Iran to interact economically

Samad Hassanzadeh invited the head of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to visit Iran with a business delegation

In Iran, the Head of the country's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has called for free and preferential trade agreements with Brazil to improve trade relations between the nations.

Samad Hassanzadeh made the statement during a meeting with Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin in Tehran.

"Another obstacle to the development of economic relations is difficulties in remittances and banking ties, which should be removed as soon as possible," Hassanzadeh emphasised.

He noted that the membership of Iran and Brazil in BRICS represents a great opportunity to strengthen economic cooperation.

Hassanzadeh suggested the exchange of business delegations as a way to raise the level of economic relations, which would enable better knowledge of the potentials and areas of cooperation. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

He invited the head of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to visit Iran with a business delegation, noting that there are favourable areas for joint cooperation in fields such as medicine, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, oil and gas and petrochemicals, automobile, food and agriculture, and technical and engineering services.

For his part, Alckmin said he had instructions from the Brazilian president to take the necessary measures to maximise ties between the two nations.
