India and Egypt have opened a new chapter in their partnership with the inaugural India–Egypt Strategic Dialogue, co-chaired by External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty in New Delhi.

The meeting marked a key milestone in advancing cooperation between the two nations following the establishment of their Strategic Partnership in 2023. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.

The ministers reviewed progress made over the past year and agreed to expand collaboration into emerging sectors such as start-ups, cyber technology, artificial intelligence, space, and fintech. Both sides emphasised innovation-driven growth as a shared priority and reaffirmed their intent to promote sustainable development and inclusive economic ties.

Foreign Minister Abdelatty highlighted the long-standing friendship between the nations, rooted in historical ties and common values, while calling for greater private sector participation to deepen trade and investment.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the development of the Global South, recognising the role of India and Egypt as partners in promoting equitable growth, resilience, and self-reliance among developing nations.
