India launches safe super intelligence initiative
India's new safe superintelligence (SSI) initiative brings together scientists, developers, startups, enterprises, and venture capitalists to work together to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI) safely. This is reported by IANS, a partner of TV BRICS.
The initiative is building an open-source community of researchers to join forces and address key challenges related to secure AGI.
The SSI initiative focusses on research and applied machine learning and has offices in a number of countries around the world.
The initiative is a project of a number of renowned AI experts included in the working group on artificial intelligence for economic transformation set up by India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 2017.
