India promotes Vietnam province's tourism potential

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has chosen Ninh Binh province in northern Vietnam as the venue for its annual conference to be held from 17-20 January 2025.

The event, with the theme "Tourism for Tomorrow: Preserving the Planet", will emphasise the area's role as an emerging destination in global tourism, according to Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.

TAFI President Ajay Prakash highlighted the boom in Indian tourism, which has reached record levels of domestic and international travel since the pandemic COVID-19. 

Vietnamese Consul General in Mumbai Le Quang Bien noted the growing co-operation between Vietnam and India.

More than 400 Indian travel agents are expected to attend the conference. The meeting is also expected to strengthen the role of tourism as a key factor in bilateral relations between Vietnam and India.
