Indian Energy Week to be attended by ministers from 17 countries
17 ministers from different countries are expected to participate in the 24th India Energy Week (IEW-24), that will be held on 6-9 February in Goa. This was announced by India's Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Puri at a press conference.
This year, six separate pavilions of Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, UK and USA will be set up at the event site.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a roundtable discussion with oil and gas executives. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
In addition, a special “Make in India” pavilion will be organised. It will host more than 300 exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions that the Indian Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises is implementing in the energy sector. With a large number of domestic and international exhibitors, this annual event provides an opportunity to showcase opportunities in both domestic and global markets.
India Energy Week managed to set itself apart from other global energy conferences and exhibitions due to Indian excellent economic performance, growing consumer base and favourable investment climate.
The duration and number of strategic sessions at IEW-24 have been increased. More specialised discussions are planned for this year. The technical sessions doubled the number of papers presented in the run-up to the event to around 2,000.
