The Board of Governors of the New Development Bank (NDB) has appointed Rajiv Ranjan, Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India, as Vice-President of the NDB for a term of five years. This was reported on the financial organisation's website.

It is noted that Ranjan has been working at the Reserve Bank of India for over 35 years. He has held the position of Executive Director and member of the Monetary Policy Committee since May 2022. Previously, Ranjan also headed key departments responsible for monetary policy formulation, economic research, and international cooperation.
