International forum on strategic communications to be held in Moscow

The event will bring together representatives of government, business, and NGOs

On 21 May, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation will host the first international forum “Strategic Communications. Ideas and Insights”, which will serve as a platform for sharing experience and finding solutions in this field. The event is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. TV BRICS acts as the international media partner.

The forum will gather industry leaders, representatives of the state, business, and non-profit organisations, to discuss how to competently build trust and cooperation. Among the key topics are communications as part of the creative economy, the ESG agenda, the introduction of artificial intelligence into PR, media as a strategic channel, the creation of regional brands, and other issues.

“We have set ourselves an ambitious goal to build a ‘communication bridge’ between Russia and its partners through open dialogue. This idea is reflected in the very name and concept of the event. We are looking forward to 21 May and invite leading communicators from various industries and countries to join us in a professional reboot of the communications sphere, to ‘build bridges’, and to gain new contacts, ideas, knowledge, and expertise,” emphasised Andrey Lapshov, Chairman of the Association of Public Relations Consultants (AKOS), which is organising the event.

Participants can expect a high-level plenary session where leading experts will discuss how the culture of communications has changed in the context of global transformations. This will be followed by a series of parallel thematic discussions covering the full range of current challenges in the industry.

The meeting will conclude with the ceremonial presentation of the AKOS Award for contributions to the development of communications, and the forum’s closing ceremony.

The forum is intended to elevate the communication function to a strategic level in business, governance, and international cooperation, helping to adapt to new challenges and implement cutting-edge technologies. Registration is available on the official website of the forum.
