Iran to unveil three domestically developed satellites for remote sensing and communications
Iran will officially unveil three locally developed satellites as part of the National Space Technology Day celebrations, as reported by Press TV, a partner of TV BRICS.
The satellites include upgraded versions of the Pars-1 and Pars-2 remote sensing satellites, as well as the Navak communications satellite. The unveiling ceremony will take place in Tehran at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, with key figures as well as President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The source claims that the Pars-2 satellite features significantly improved imaging capabilities, offering higher resolution compared to its predecessor, with a visual range of 8 metres in colour mode and 4 metres in black-and-white mode.
Moreover, Iran's growing space programme is marked by the development of 25 satellites, with plans to launch two more by March 2025.
