"Little Buryatia" in the center of Ulan-Ude
The whole Buryatia - on a thousand square meters. The touch track in the form of a map of Buryatia with a reduced copy of Lake Baikal, a weather station - all this is now the pride of Ulan-Ude. An arboretum of forest and taiga plants was created with the help of local forest farms. Saplings of fruit and berry crops were provided by Tokhoi nursery. Visitors are particularly pleased with the beautiful flower garden of cultivated and wild plants, a correspondent for tvbrics.com reports with reference to fzb03.ru
Within the framework of the project on environmental education, the Russian Geographical Society supported the birth of a unique project: a geographical site.
It is remarkable as it united online representation, the theory of acquaintance with the geography of the region on one small but extremely informative site: a barrier-free environment, Braille signs, high seedbeds for plant observation for people with disabilities. By the way, there is a very tiny Buryatia in a relief desktop layout for studying geography by visually impaired visitors.
“Little Buryatia” was built by the whole world, the Fund “Health of Buryatia” was assisted by students of the Department of Forestry, the Agronomy Faculty of the BSAA, Ulan-Uden College of Railway Transport, workers of four republican forest farms, parents of children with disabilities. And now “Little Buryatia” is a favorite “class” of Buryat schoolchildren for geography lessons and one of the most remarkable places of recreation for the capital of the republic.
