More than 100 education officials gather in Beijing for G20 dialogue
More than 100 global education leaders and policymakers gathered in Beijing for the G20 Education Dialogue, focusing on critical aspects of the intersection of digital technology and sustainable education. The event aims to empower global learning and align it with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Wang Dinghua, Party Secretary of Beijing Foreign Studies University, highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and data science in education.
He reaffirmed the G20 countries' commitment to inclusive and equitable education, emphasising the importance of digital tools to promote lifelong learning.
Luiz Costa, former Brazilian Minister of Education, highlighted the strengthening of the education partnership between Brazil and China, emphasising that cooperation in education and technological innovation is essential to address global challenges.
"As Brazil and China strengthen ties, we demonstrate that international collaboration is key to addressing the complex demands of the digital era," he stated.
Costa also advocated for inclusive technologies that will ensure that all students can benefit. This is reported by China Daily, a partner of TV BRICS.
The dialogue also included a youth segment where young experts discussed the role of educational technologies in addressing climate change.
