More than 40 countries to take part in Moscow International Film Week

Pictures from China, Iran and Egypt will be shown at the even

The Moscow International Film Week will be held from 23 to 28 August 2024. Representatives of more than 40 countries, including China, Iran and Egypt, will come to the Russian capital, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina. TV BRICS is an international media partner of the event.

"This will be one of the most large-scale cultural events of the year. It will be joined by 100 venues – almost 30 city and private cinemas, parks, museums, art spaces and hotels. Every day it will be possible to visit about 200 events," said the Deputy Mayor.

More than 300 films will be shown at the Cinema Week. In particular, Chinese films such as "Born To Fly", "I Remember" and "One and Only". The audience will also see the Iranian drama "The Salesman" and the Indian melodrama "Aatmapamphlet".

Festival guests will be able to attend concerts, master classes, thematic games, meetings with actors and directors, lectures, tours of Moscow film studios and locations from iconic films. Visitors to mobile shooting pavilions in squares and parks of the capital, including VDNKh and Gorky Park, will try themselves as film makers and actors.

During the business programme, representatives of Russian and foreign film companies will discuss the prospects of cooperation, as well as get acquainted with the opportunities for filming in Moscow.

The first Moscow Industrial Media Forum is scheduled for 26-28 August, where a number of industry conferences will be held, as well as an exhibition of film and media technologies.
