Moscow City Duma to receive information support from TV BRICS International Media Network

The partners agreed to jointly develop co-operation between Moscow and other cities of BRICS countries

TV BRICS International Media Network and the Moscow City Duma have signed a co-operation agreement. The document was signed at the TV BRICS headquarters in Moscow by Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of the media network, and Alexey Shaposhnikov, Chairman of the Moscow City Duma.

The partners agreed to jointly develop co-operation between Moscow and other cities of BRICS countries, to inform the multimillion foreign audience about the interaction between the legislators of the capitals and regions, to assist each other in holding major scientific, practical and educational events.

"The signing of the protocol on the development of co-operation between the Moscow City Duma and the the TV BRICS International Media Network is the first important step for fruitful co-operation. It will give a positive impetus to the development of interaction between legislators and representatives of BRICS countries at the metropolitan and regional levels. At the current stage of formation of a multipolar world, Russia is one of the leaders in promoting new integration initiatives and strengthening multilateral co-operation. The Moscow City Duma is actively working on the formation of the BRICS metropolitan horizontal. In the year of Russia's presidency in the association, we are planning a series of international events on the legislative agenda together with the Moscow City Government, the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Federation Council and the State Duma. I am sure that as a media partner TV BRICS will assist us in their coverage among the target foreign audience," emphasised Alexey Shaposhnikov, Chairman of the Moscow City Duma.

In his turn, Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of the Media Network, noted the necessity and urgency of increasing the efficiency of international communications of megacities and BRICS countries. As a partner of Moscow and the Moscow Parliament, TV BRICS will further promote a positive image of the Russian capital abroad, informing about the investment, technological and cultural attractiveness of the city, innovations in education, healthcare, ecology and achievements in other areas.

For this purpose, the TV BRICS media network is ready to use a wide range of its own information resources working in the languages of the BRICS countries, as well as the capabilities of its partners, which include more than 60 of the world's largest media holdings, including those in Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Argentina, Armenia, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mozambique, Tunisia and Cuba.

To date, more than 20 higher education institutions in the BRICS+ countries, about 20 international film festivals and the same number of major public and non-profit organisations, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Centre for International Cooperation, have signed cooperation agreements with TV BRICS. The Ministry of Education of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Education of Cuba are also official partners of TV BRICS.
