Moscow to host festival of theatre schools from CIS countries

Students of seven educational institutions will show their graduation performances

The "GITIS – Master Class", a festival of theatre schools from CIS countries, will be held in Moscow at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts GITIS. The TV BRICS International Media Network is a media partner of the event.

Students and teachers of seven leading educational institutions from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will come to the Russian capital. The graduation performances will be shown on the stage of the GITIS Training Theatre.

Lectures, round tables and trainings on stage movement, vocal and acting skills from GITIS teachers are waiting for the festival participants. At the end of each day the performances will be analysed and discussed. The audience will also be able to take part in these discussions.

According to the organisers' plan, the event is held in order to strengthen ties between the creative youth of the CIS and to develop cultural dialogue between the participants of the association. It is expected that representatives of different theatre schools will share their experience of stage art and methods of training actors and directors.

The shows will last from 11 to 18 November 2024. You can find the programme and register for the performances on the website of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts GITIS.

The "GITIS – Master Class" festival has been held regularly since 2018. It is supported by the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
