Recall that the decision to establish the forum was made at the BRICS Ministerial Summit, held in July 2018 in South Africa. The regional delegation from St. Petersburg, headed by Mikhail Cherepanov, put forward the idea of creating a global information and communication platform for the municipalities of the BRICS countries, and the summit participants supported the proposal.
