Nicolas Maduro: Venezuela to join BRICS in the near future

This could happen at the summit in Kazan in October 2024

Venezuela will become part of BRICS in the near future. This was announced by the country's President Nicolas Maduro in the author's programme of Venezolana de Television TV channel "With Maduro Plus".

The Bolivarian leader stated about the country's desire to join the alliance back in May 2023.

Earlier this year, Nicolas Maduro claimed that Venezuela could join BRICS at the next summit to be held in Kazan in October 2024.

Egypt, Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia and Iran officially joined BRICS on 1 January 2024.
