Once Upon a Time, in a Baobab Valley, there Lived a Pink Elephant…
A pink baby elephant was filmed in the South African Republic. The littlething was found in the Mala-Mala reserve ofthe Kruger National Park. The baby elephant of unusual color walked together with his elephant fellows. It is very small – according to its sizes, he is no more than two or three weeks old.
A safari guide Tim Jansen van Vuurenfound and photographed an unusual elephant calf.
In the description to the videoit is said thatthe pink color can be explained byleucism. Leucism is provoked by some genes, when the surface of a body of some organism (or some of its areas) has no cellsproducingthe pigment of integument.
