Passenger traffic and number of flights grow in Egypt in beginning of 2025
Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation has reported a significant increase in passenger traffic and the number of flights at Egyptian airports in the first two months of 2025. The infographic published shows a sharp increase in the figures compared to the same period last year. This is reported by Sada El-Balad, a partner of TV BRICS.
The number of flights at the country's main airport also increased to more than 35,000, up from 33,000 last year.
Overall, Egyptian airports recorded impressive growth, receiving more than 4 million passengers in the first two months of 2025, compared to 3 million in 2024. The number of flights also rose to 31 million, up from 24 million a year earlier.
These figures emphasise the steady recovery and growth of the Egyptian aviation industry, which is likely due to increased tourist traffic and business connections. The Ministry of Civil Aviation expects to further consolidate the positive trend throughout 2025.
