Putin and Xi meet in Kremlin
On Monday, 20 March, the unofficial part of Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Russia was held in Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chinese leader held a meeting in the Kremlin, as reported by TASS.
The Russian president said that in recent years, China has made a huge leap in its development. He added that this arouses genuine interest around the world.

According to the President, China combines market mechanisms with a steady political course and this brings visible results.
The Russian President recalled that exactly ten years ago Xi Jinping made his first visit to Russia as Chairman of the PRC. "During this time we have made significant steps in the development of our relations, our trade turnover has more than doubled, we have many joint tasks and goals," he stressed.
For his part, Xi noted that the Chinese side highly values relations with Russia. "The PRC pays great attention to the development of Sino-Russian relations, as there is a historical logic. You and I are the largest neighbouring countries, our cooperation has the character of comprehensive strategic cooperation. Exactly this status is decisive, our countries should have close relations," said the Chinese leader.
We should note that the official meeting between the President of the People's Republic of China and the Russian President will be held on Tuesday, 21 March. The agenda for the upcoming talks includes discussions on bilateral cooperation, a review of the regional and international landscape, as well as the agreement of positions on global challenges.
Xi and Putin will seek to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and deepen cooperation in the international arena. New agreements are also planned to be signed.
