"Renewable energy and electric transport" exhibition-forum was held in Moscow
RENWEX 2022 - "Renewable energy and electric transport" exhibition-forum was held in Moscow. A total area of over 5,000 square metres displayed equipment and technology for wind, hydro, geothermal, solar and bioenergy, separate stands for electric vehicles and presentations by companies for installation and maintenance of energy-saving equipment.
Advanced technologies were demonstrated by more than 70 companies from Russia, Austria, China, France and Switzerland. Russia was represented by companies from 14 regions. This exhibition season saw a noticeable increase in the charging infrastructure and electric transport sector.
"The electric vehicles here are completely Russian-made, the main purpose of our electric cars is for holiday resorts, hotels, children's camps, businesses, and airports. They are absolutely easy to charge, from a regular 220 volt socket. Full charge time averages up to 7 hours and a range of 60-70 kilometres, depending on the operation," said Karen Dilamirian, sales manager for electric vehicles.
Country's leading universities also presented their works. They shared developments in "green" energy and alternative transport. Moscow Polytechnic University presented the Solar Regatta project, a boat powered by an electric motor and using solar panels - there are 5 of them, with a total capacity of 500 watts. Such a boat can travel for three hours without stopping at a speed of 10-12 km/h.
“Our students design and build these boats themselves, select components, and are run the operation. In May and June we launch these boats for testing, and then we take part in competitions and win prizes," said Valentina Kaplina, lecturer at Moscow Polytechnic University.
The Skolkovo start-up has introduced solid oxide fuel cells in a tubular configuration. They run on gas - propane, butane and methane. Gas enters the tubular elements and is used to generate electricity and heat. This compact module is called a "socket in the field".
"Our mobile unit is powered by a gas canister, which can be purchased at any shop. Take it with you on fishing trips, hunting trips and plug into it. Connect to its USB port and get electricity," explained Olga Aleksandrova, project manager.
The Exhibition-Forum "Renewable Energy and Electric Transport" was held under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The platform showcased cutting-edge developments in renewable energy and electric transport. A three-day forum of 13 sessions was held in conjunction with the exhibition. It was attended by leading experts in the field of alternative energy and electric transport.
