Round table "Russian theatres abroad - plenipotentiaries of Russian culture" to be held in Moscow

One of the topics will be strengthening the role of the Russian theatre as an institution of Russian culture

On Tuesday, 6 December, the Russian Cultural Foundation will host a round table "Russian Theatres Abroad - Plenipotentiaries of Russian Culture".

Participants of the thematic event will be: Grigory Zaslavsky, Rector of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts - GITIS; Elena Kostic, professor at the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka (Republic of Srpska); Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS; Mikhail Shvydkoy, Special Representative of Russian President on International Cultural Cooperation (online); Sergey Shub, chief director of the Baltic House Theatre-Festival (online), as well as directors of Russian drama theatres in Abkhazia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan.

The main topics of the round table will be the problems of the existence of the Russian theatre abroad, support for young talents, strengthening the role of the Russian theatre as an institution of Russian culture, as well as the preservation and development of cultural ties.
